SHIPPING AND SCHEDULING

Scheduling

In most cases we will be able to ship within a day or two of your order. Due to the perishable nature of our products our scheduling and delivery depends on being able to reach your front door in a maximum of 4 business days. If you place an order on Monday and require a two day transit time we will ship it the next day for Thursday arrival. If you happen to order on Tuesday and require a four day transit time we will have to ship it the following Monday. Rest assured that we will be in contact to let you know when we can expect to ship and when you will expect to have it delivered.

Shipping

Due to us being centrally located in the continental USA most states require a 3 day transit time or less. For transit time purposes we will ship via UPS or FedEx ground depending on what service will get it to you quicker. Below are the two in transit maps for your reference.

PACKAGING AND DRY ICE

Packaging

Our dry aged steaks and roasts are aged 21 days and then vacuum sealed and wrapped in freezer paper to maintain optimal freshness. Our ground beef is packaged in freezer safe plastic.

Your Package will be Shipped with Dry Ice

Our packages are shipped with dry ice. However, don’t be alarmed if the dry ice has evaporated as this is normal. You may receive your package with some of the remaining dry ice which will be wrapped in freezer paper. If this is the case do not touch the dry ice without gloves. Upon removing all items from our plastic bag you may leave the dry ice inside of the cooler and place the cooler outside until the dry ice has evaporated. If you wish to remove it sooner you may use gloves to lift it out of our cooler and place outside in a safe spot.

As long as your dry aged meat packages are cool to the touch upon arrival you may refreeze and cook with confidence.

Storage

Keeping your freezer as cold as possible will yield the best results. For maximum shelf life please keep items in the vacuum sealed package wrapped in our original freezer paper.

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

What are You the Customer Responsible For?

You are responsible for any package that is delivered on time and the day our shipping service says it will arrive. Due to the perishable nature of our products we will not be responsible for any package that is not opened and placed in your freezer on a timely basis if the package is delivered and arrived in good condition.

If your order arrives in a condition that is unsatisfactory we will ask for the order to be returned using a UPS return label provided by us. Flatwater will cover all shipping costs in order to do so, and your full refund will be credited back to the credit card used for the original purchase once we receive the order back to our facility.

While dry ice will keep our products frozen solid for the transit time it will not keep for much more than a few hours after arrival. We will make sure to give you all of the tracking information once your order ships and will do our best to make sure you have all of the info needed to be present at the time of the delivery.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure someone is available to receive an order at the time of delivery. It is the buyer’s responsibility to make any special arrangements upon delivery for any order shipped to any apartment address as this can be tricky.

It is the responsibility of the consumer to follow all health and safety guidelines when thawing and handling products.

What Flatwater Beef is Responsible For?

If your package arrives warm to the touch or is delivered later than scheduled as well as being no longer cold to the touch we will issue a refund. However, we will not be responsible for any late compliants on our packages arriving warm and need to be contacted within 24 hours of delivery as we have no solid evidence of said package arriving warm. We also reserve the right to refuse future sales if we feel that a customer is being dishonest about our product arriving in warm condition.

Flatwater Beef offers no guarantee of delivery with incorrect addresses. Please ensure all shipping addresses are correct prior to submitting your order. Packages are clearly marked perishable and will expire if not kept cold. Flatwater Beef is not responsible for packages that are lost, stolen, or perish due to the recipient not being available at the time of delivery.
